Volume, color scheme, and material study for an urban island that was to host an apartment high rise, a hotel tower, office buildings, retail spaces, parking lots and a multipurpose building. We used a modern language fusioned with a variety of Asian specific construction details to create a memorable urban piece. Our take on the building was the usage of verticality as a motif for the entire ensemble and was influenced as such by the two towers and by the elevated public square.
